Kazakhstan has taken another step toward developing the creative economy and promoting the country's tourism potential. The Creative Industries Development Fund and Kazakh Tourism National Company JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at creating a favorable ecosystem for the development of creative industries and promoting Kazakhstan's tourism potential through cultural, artistic, and creative initiatives.
The document was signed by Erlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Board of the Creative Industries Development Fund, and Talgat Gazizov, Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Tourism National Company JSC.
The memorandum provides for a long-term partnership in the development of creative industries, cultural and event tourism, the promotion of domestic creative products and services, the implementation of joint projects, and the exchange of experience and expertise. As part of the cooperation, the parties approved a joint action plan, including the creation of a National Registry of Creative Tourism Facilities, the development of a National Calendar of Creative Events, regional creative fairs, the development of new tourist routes, support for domestic creative brands, the creation of a network of Creative Tourism Points, the promotion of Kazakhstani projects in international markets, and the implementation of the annual Kazakhstan Creative Tourism Week.
Particular attention will be paid to the development of event tourism, the integration of creative industries into national tourist routes, the creation of multilingual digital content about the tourism potential of the regions, and the support of export-oriented creative products.

The signed memorandum will allow us to combine the potential of our organizations to promote Kazakhstan's cultural heritage, contemporary creative projects, and regional brands." In turn, Talgat Gazizov, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC KazakhTourism, emphasized that the development of creative tourism is becoming one of the promising areas of the modern tourism industry.
"Combining the potential of the tourism and creative industries will enable the creation of new competitive tourism products, increase the attractiveness of the regions, and expand Kazakhstan's opportunities for promoting itself in the international market. This collaboration will make a significant contribution to the development of domestic and inbound tourism, as well as support for domestic creative entrepreneurs," he noted. The signed memorandum will form the basis for the implementation of long-term joint projects aimed at developing creative tourism, increasing the tourist attractiveness of the regions, supporting domestic producers, promoting cultural heritage, and shaping a modern ecosystem for Kazakhstan's creative economy.
