Erlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Creative Industries Development Fund, and Dias and Aigerim Kameridanov, founders of the Unknownkazak Talks project, signed a memorandum of cooperation. The partnership aims to host intellectual meetings, cultural and educational events, and support creative initiatives in the Kazakh language.
As part of the collaboration, the Qazaq Creative Hub will become a permanent meeting place for representatives of the arts, science, business, and technology. Here, they will discuss current issues, exchange experiences, and develop new ideas. The initiative aims to expand the Kazakh-language intellectual community and strengthen professional ties between creative industry specialists and young people.
The first joint event took place at the Qazaq Creative Hub following the signing of the memorandum. The Unknownkazak Talks meeting brought together musician Dulat Mukhametkali (ZaQ), psychologist Asel Zhutayeva, artist Magira Tleuberdina, and bioinformatics scientist Erdos Ordabayev. Participants discussed national identity, creative freedom, and the development of contemporary culture.
The meeting focused on new artistic approaches to presenting national cultural heritage, the role of creativity in society, and the development of contemporary cultural trends for youth. The speakers shared their experiences and discussed opportunities for expanding the Kazakh-language creative space.
The Unknownkazak project began in 2018 as a blog publishing materials about the history and culture of Kazakhstan. Over time, it evolved into a Kazakh-language media platform, and in 2022, it began hosting offline meetings. Today, Unknownkazak Talks brings together representatives from various fields for open dialogue and the exchange of ideas. The collaboration between Qazaq Creative Hub and Unknownkazak Talks will expand opportunities for meaningful meetings in the Kazakh language, support talented youth, and foster the emergence of new creative projects. This is an important step in developing an intellectual environment that fosters a contemporary understanding of national culture and strengthens Kazakhstan's creative industries.
