The Saltanat State Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Kazakhstan represented Kazakhstan at the 4th Beijing International Canal Arts Fest, which took place from September 24–27 in Tongzhou.
This year's festival brought together representatives from 13 countries. Musicians and dancers from Norway, New Zealand, Thailand, France, Germany, Romania, the United States, and other countries performed on the same stage. A total of 14 performing groups and approximately 70 Chinese and international artists participated in the program.
Kazakhstan was represented at the festival for the first time by the Saltanat Ensemble. The ensemble prepared 12 choreographic numbers, which showcased the uniqueness of Kazakh culture and the traditions of nomadic civilization through music and dance.
The participation of the Saltanat Ensemble provided an opportunity to present Kazakhstani choreographic art on the international stage and contributed to the development of cultural interaction between Kazakhstan and China.
