Applications are now open for the Amre Kashaubayev National Competition of Traditional Performers, which will be held from October 25 to 27, 2026, at the Zhambyl Kazakh State Academic Philharmonic. Applications will be accepted until September 15.
Participation is open to performers aged 20 to 35 – winners of regional competitions, city competitions in the republic, and the capital. Previous Grand Prix winners are not eligible to participate again.
The preliminary selection will be based on video recordings of two works from the approved list of songs from Amre Kashaubayev's repertoire. The recording must be made with a stationary camera, without editing or additional sound processing. The list of participants for the main round will be published by September 25.
In-person auditions will consist of two rounds. In each round, contestants will perform one work from Amre Kashaubayev's repertoire and two of their own choosing. Songs from the singer's repertoire cannot be repeated in the two rounds.
The competition will conclude on October 27 with a gala concert and awards ceremony.
