More than three thousand people attended the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Armenia

As part of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Armenia, a gala concert of masters of arts of Kazakhstan was held in the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. This large-scale event was made possible thanks to the agreements reached by the Heads of State during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Yerevan in 2023.

The event was attended by the head of the official delegation - Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Armenia Bolat Imanbayev, as well as representatives of the Armenian intelligentsia, diplomatic corps, creative unions, the Kazakh diaspora, scientists, writers and cultural figures.

“Today's significant event was made possible thanks to the friendly relations between the heads of our states and the strategic partnership between the two countries. I would like to note that today's meeting coincided with the Bright Easter holiday. It is obvious that this is also a symbol of friendship and unity, which begins with compassion and kindness. I hope that in the future the relationship between our countries will be strong and fruitful for the benefit of our peoples. After all, there are no boundaries in art and culture. Culture unites countries, lays the foundation for mutual understanding and respect between peoples. Common values and creative connection are unshakable links of peace and friendship,” Aida Balayeva noted in her welcoming speech.

The audience received aesthetic pleasure from a rich program that included folk works and melodies of modern composers, Kazakh pop, classics and folklore. The legendary singer, Қазақстанның Еңбек Ері Roza Rymbaeva, Honored Workers of Kazakhstan Alexander Belyakov and Aigerim Beketaeva, the HasSak ethno-folklore ensemble, the Birlik dance ensemble, laureates of the Daryn State Youth Prize Rasul Zharmagambetov, Askar Mukiyat and other stars of Kazakh art performed on the stage.

The audience greeted each performance with enthusiastic applause, and at the end of the concert the hall applauded standing. Ovations became confirmation of genuine interest and a highly emotional response to Kazakh art. The gala concert became a real celebration of culture and friendship.

As part of the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Armenia, the events of which were attended by more than 3,000 people, a bilateral meeting was held between the ministers of the two countries — Aida Balayeva and Zhanna Andreasyan. The parties discussed the expansion of cultural cooperation. The program of events included the screening of Kazakh films, and the opening of the Abai Kunanbayuly Park in Yerevan.

In addition, members of the official Kazakh delegation held meetings with their Armenian colleagues in various areas: prospects for cooperation in the fields of information, museum and library affairs, film production, as well as possible formats for further interaction and specific joint initiatives were discussed.

It should be noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Armenia, this is the first official and such a large-scale cultural event: the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan are being held in Armenia for the first time at a high state level. In October 2024, the Days of Culture of Armenia in Kazakhstan were held in Astana.
