The Akmola Region Creative Fair opened as part of the republican Creative Aimaq project.

A fair of Akmola Region creators opened in Astana at the Creative Industries Development Fund. Among the event's honored guests were Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva and Akmola Region Akim Marat Akhmetzhanov.
At the fair, residents and visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to discover products by regional artisans, designer collections, and local brands. Particular attention is paid to contemporary trends in the creative economy. The event zone showcases IT, digital, and media projects, as well as startups in robotics, game development, artificial intelligence, tourism, and eSports.
In addition, as part of the two-day program, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in master classes on traditional crafts and arts and crafts. These include master classes on making "Korpe," "Zhastyk," and "Kurak," traditional musical instruments and footwear, wood, metal, and bone crafts, as well as classes in wool felting and fine arts.
Products on display are also available for purchase as part of the project. On the first day of the fair, creators sold their wares for a total of 5 million tenge.
Today, more than 1,000 creative industries are registered in the Akmola region. Jewelry, traditional musical instrument production, woodworking, design, fashion, handicrafts, IT, and digital projects are actively developing in the region.
The Akmola region became the first region to participate in the Creative Aimaq project, implemented by the Creative Industries Development Fund in accordance with the Head of State's instruction to develop a package of measures to support the creative industry. The initiative aims to develop regional creative industries and create a unified platform for showcasing the creative potential of Kazakhstan's regions.
