South Korean K-pop group Kandis will perform at Comic Con Astana on August 9. An autograph session with the group's members will also be held on the final day of the event.
The group gained popularity among Kazakhstani audiences after participating in the international television singing competition Silk Way Star, where they represented the Republic of Korea. One of their most notable performances was the Korean-language version of Orda's song "Kesh Meni." This song earned Kandis a victory in one of the competition stages and was widely shared on social media.
As part of the project, the group also performed a Kazakh-language cover of Marhaba Sabi's song "Dem Alam."
Kandis is developing its own musical style, fusing contemporary K-pop with elements of R&B and 1990s hip-hop. The group is known for its powerful vocals and lively stage performances.
Comic Con Astana will be held from August 6 to 9 at the Barys Arena and the Alau Ice Palace. The program includes meetings with actors, artists, and content creators, performances by musical groups, themed zones, and an international cosplay competition.
