The international exhibition "Endless Clouds of the Silk Road" opened in Almaty.

The international exhibition "Endless Clouds of the Silk Road" opened in Almaty.

The international exhibition "Endless Clouds of the Silk Road. One Belt, One Road: Almaty Station," organized jointly with the Shanghai Art Collections Museum (SACM), opened at the Abylkhan Kasteyev National Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Almaty is the third city in the international exhibition project. The exhibition was previously presented in Tehran in 2024 and Tashkent in 2025.
The exhibition brings together works by Kazakh and Chinese artists, reflecting the cultural traditions of the two countries and contemporary trends in the visual arts.
The Kazakh section of the exhibition features works by contemporary artists from the Abylkhan Kasteyev Museum's collection. The Chinese collection introduces visitors to traditional painting, motifs from ancient monumental murals, and contemporary artistic techniques.
The project aims to strengthen cultural ties between Kazakhstan and China, develop museum cooperation, and promote the artistic heritage of the two countries. The exhibition's symbolic significance is particularly heightened by the fact that it was in Kazakhstan that the initiative to create the "Silk Road Economic Belt" was first put forward in September 2013.
The exhibition will run until November 18, 2026.
