Erlan Kanalimov, Chairman of the Creative Industries Development Fund, presented the results of the Fund's projects live on the 24KZ television channel, and also discussed the development of creative industries in Kazakhstan and their economic potential.
The interview featured the results of the Creative Aimaq project. Eight hundred creatives participated in the project, and 80,000 residents and visitors to the capital attended the fairs. Total sales amounted to 170 million tenge. The project aims to promote the products of regional creatives to a wider audience and expand their markets.
To enhance the professional competencies of creative entrepreneurs, training programs are being implemented in Almaty, Shymkent, and Astana, with over 650 creatives participating. They gain practical knowledge in calculating product costs, business planning, promoting products, and attracting investment. Furthermore, Kazakhstan climbed 28 positions in the "Creative Goods and Services" category of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Global Innovation Index. This result underscores the importance of developing the creative economy, enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products, and expanding opportunities for Kazakhstani creators.
