Thus, the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opened an international exhibition "Turkestan under the rule of two empires: colonialism and repression."

It presented photo documents of the repressed Sultanbek Khojanov, Fazifa Zaripkyzy, Tanibergen Otarbaev, documents of Akhmet Baitursynov, Alikhan Bukeikhanov, Mirzhakip Dulatov, Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev, things of Saken Seifullin, Khalel Dosmukhamedov, archival documents of repressed state and public figures from the funds of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Special attention is drawn to the stands with the names of 69 Kazakhstanis who were forced to move to Uzbekistan during the period of severe terror.

The event also hosted an international round table "On the progress of rehabilitation of victims of political repression in Central Asian countries: results and common problems", the participants of which discussed topical issues related to victims of political repression. Speakers-Director of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Shahidlar Hotirasy Public Foundation, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Bakhtiyar Khasanov spoke on the topic "Reforms in the new Uzbekistan to perpetuate the memory of intellectuals-enlighteners repressed during the totalitarian Soviet regime", Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of KazNPU named after Abay, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Mambet Koigeldiev- with information "The cause and consequences of political repression in Kazakhstan", Senior Researcher of the State Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences Bakhrom Irzaev spoke about the "Prospects for joint research on the history of repressed Kazakhs, migrants in Uzbekistan".

The National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a historical and educational book exhibition, which presented unique information from the fund of rare books and manuscripts of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, originals of works and manuscripts of the leaders of the Alash movement, the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX centuries, works of national figures and the Kazakh intelligentsia, memoirs of descendants of victims of political repression, manuscripts and research works about victims of political repression and famine.
