The dramatic saga will consist of six episodes. The filming of the historical project "Golden Horde" will take place in Kazakhstan and Turkey. The project will be produced by Karga Seven Pictures under the leadership of creative director Emre Şahin. The studio is known for launching large-scale documentary dramas — "Rise of Empires: Ottoman" and "Testament: The Story of Moses" for Netflix. They entered the top 10 series in more than 90 countries around the world, the fund noted.

"The life story of Jochi Khan is incredibly epic, and it will certainly be of great interest to audiences around the world. We are honored to partner with the Dara Foundation to implement this large-scale historical project," said Emre Şahin.

In 2024, the Ulus of Jochi will celebrate its 800th anniversary. The Mausoleum of Jochi Khan is located in the Ulytau region. The creators of the historical drama are counting on a mass audience, popularizing the great history of the Kazakh people, and increasing interest in Kazakhstan from the international audience.

In addition, on the topic of the landmark date, the 800th anniversary of the actual formation of the Ulus of Jochi, showing the centuries-old roots of our statehood, a large research work has been launched. This year, the preparation of a multi-volume book on the history of Kazakhstan will be completed. This is a thorough work, on which more than 200 domestic scientists and about 60 foreign specialists are working.
