In Almaty, new projects of cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and France were presented

A series of events dedicated to the development of cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and France took place at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A public French book corner was opened at the library. It features publications on the country's history and culture, works by French classics and contemporary authors, as well as literature translated into the Kazakh and Russian languages. The new book corner will provide readers with the opportunity to get closer to French literature and culture.

As part of the event, the Kazakh-language edition of the book The Golden Horde: How Empire Transformed the World ("Алтын Орда: дала империясы әлемді қалай өзгертті") by French historian and researcher Marie Favereau was also presented. The work describes the history of the Golden Horde, its place in the Eurasian space, and its influence on political and cultural processes in Central Asia.

Additionally, the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Alliance Française of Almaty signed an agreement on cultural cooperation. Under this document, the parties intend to undertake joint cultural and educational projects, literary initiatives, and host various events.
