A cultural and spiritual evening dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Mukagali Makatayev was held at the Central State Archive of Film, Photographic Documents, and Sound Recordings.
The evening was attended by poets and writers, representatives of culture and art, and archival staff. Participants exchanged insightful opinions on the significance of Mukagali Makatayev's personality and work in the history of Kazakh literature and national spirituality.
The event included an exhibition of rare photographs and archival materials reflecting various stages of the poet's life and career. Of particular value were unique audio recordings of Mukagali Makatayev reciting his poems in his own voice in 1967. These materials were donated to the archival collection in 1969. Participants also enjoyed a screening of the documentary film "Qarasaz Kosheleri," filmed in the village of Qarasaz, the poet's birthplace.
