The Russian Film Festival, held as part of the Days of Russian Culture in Kazakhstan, continues in Astana. On the second day of the film program, the audience was presented with the feature film "The Aviator" directed by Egor Konchalovsky.

The film is based on the novel of the same name by Evgeny Vodolazkin. The plot centers on a man who regains consciousness in a secret laboratory after being frozen by Soviet scientists almost a hundred years ago. The story, addressing themes of memory, time, and personal identity, became one of the notable screenings of the festival program.

The film was presented to the Kazakh audience by actress Daria Kukarskikh. She highlighted the significance of such cultural meetings for strengthening humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Russia.

After the screening, a creative meeting was held with the audience, where the actress shared details of the filming process, artistic decisions, and the meanings embedded in the film.
