
A memorial evening, "Kui Uran," was held in Almaty to commemorate the 80th anniversary of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recipient of the Order of Parasat, and composer Karshyga Akhmediyarov.
The event was held at the initiative of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments. The concert featured cultural and artistic figures, members of the creative intelligentsia, and Akhmediyarov's family and colleagues.
The evening featured performances of the composer's best works, as well as a presentation of his role in the development of national musical culture and his contribution to the preservation of traditional performing arts.
Karshyga Akhmediyarov was associated with the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments for many years, where he worked as a dombra-kyuishi player, accompanist, soloist, and conductor. His creative and scholarly work made a significant contribution to the development of national art and musicology.
