The plot focuses on a doctor, Nikolai Anatolyevich Grachev, who is celebrating his 70th birthday. His colleagues, patients and hospital management are preparing a warm and sincere celebration for him. However, behind the external celebration lies a difficult truth about human relationships, moral challenges and life lessons. The events unfold unpredictably, allowing the viewer to plunge into the life of the medical team and experience complex but sincere moments with them.

"We need a doctor" is more than just the story of a doctor. This is a film about people who save lives every day, face dilemmas and try to remain true to their principles in a world full of changes. Here everyone will find something close: kindness, pain, hope and, of course, faith in the power of the human spirit.

"A musical comedy inspired by the name of an old classic. This is a Broadway-style musical, because we don’t just have songs, but songs move the plot forward. Each song there has meaning and advances the story. I have not yet seen such films in Kazakhstan," said the film's director, Ravil Trumov.
