
The Kurmangazy Kazakh National Conservatory signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, a university ranked among the top three creative universities in the world. For over two centuries, the university has played a key role in shaping the global artistic and academic tradition. It currently brings together over 3,000 students and leading faculty in music, theater, and film.
According to the memorandum, the parties agreed to develop a long-term academic and cultural partnership in the professional education of creative professionals, as well as to expand international educational and artistic ties.
The document outlines several key areas, including the development of student academic mobility. Opportunities for creative collaboration are envisaged in the fields of vocals, composition and opera conducting, instrumental performance (violin, piano, wind instruments, and percussion), as well as joint research in musicology, ethnomusicology, and cultural management. The collaboration also includes plans for students and faculty to participate in international programs, including the International Summer Academy mdw.
Furthermore, the possibility of implementing long-term projects in education, art, and culture is being discussed.
