Exhibition dedicated to Abai opened in Minsk

The opening of a special exhibition of the Abai State Historical, Cultural and Literary Memorial Museum-Reserve "Zhidebai-Borili" took place at the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum in Minsk (Republic of Belarus).

The exhibition was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbayev.

The exposition presents genuine works by Abai, household items, as well as exhibits related to his spiritual and creative heritage.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Belarus Timur Zhaksylykov, First Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Shlyakhtin, as well as ambassadors and representatives of other states.

During the event, writer Mikhail Pozdnyakov, translator of Mukhtar Auezov's novel-epic "The Path of Abai" into Belarusian, solemnly presented the museum-reserve with a copy of the book in Belarusian.

The exhibition, which has become an important event in the cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus, is aimed at popularizing the spiritual heritage of great thinkers and strengthening cultural ties between peoples. The exhibition will be open for a month.
