The international festival "Altai – the Golden Cradle of the Turkic World" concluded in the Katon-Karagay district of the East Kazakhstan region. This large-scale cultural event, which lasted two days, attracted over 50,000 spectators – residents of the region, guests from all regions of Kazakhstan, and from abroad. The festival concluded with a gala concert featuring People's Artist of Kazakhstan Dimash Kudaibergen.
This international event dedicated to the preservation and popularization of the cultural heritage of the Turkic world featured performances by artists from nine countries. Guests enjoyed poetry evenings, aytys (aitys) of Kazakh poets, competitions in national sports, and horse racing.
This year's festival was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Aktan Nurbayev, a prominent figure in Kazakh literature. At the poetry evening, poets from across the country celebrated the nature and spiritual heritage of Altai, and 12 improvising akyns (poetry singers) participated in the aitys. In addition, 16 participants in the poetry competition received honoraria of 500,000 tenge each.
Particular attention was paid to security during the festival. Officers from the East Kazakhstan Region Police Department maintained enhanced security throughout the event, ensuring public order and the safety of participants. On the day of the gala concert featuring Dimash Kudaibergen, security measures were stepped up in areas where large crowds gathered, traffic and traffic flow were regulated, and prompt assistance was provided to citizens. According to the Police Department, all necessary measures to maintain public order were taken during the festival, ensuring the event proceeded without any crime. The International Festival "Altai – the Golden Cradle of the Turkic World" has once again confirmed its status as a significant international platform promoting the national culture and literature, traditional art, and shared spiritual values ​​of the Turkic peoples.
