The Kazakhstan National Electronic Library (KazNEB) continues to expand its audience. Since the beginning of the year, the number of remote visits to KazNEB has reached 865,300, a 49% increase compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the number of remote users has increased to 359,700, representing a 33% increase year-on-year.
Demand for the library's digital collection is also growing. Over the past eight months, users have viewed electronic copies more than 5.4 million times and downloaded them nearly 1.2 million times. Since the beginning of the year, the digital repository has been updated with an additional 3,606 copies, bringing the total to 341,637 files.
Today, KazNEB's collection contains 87,415 documents, the majority of which are books and brochures—47,488 publications. The portal also features abstracts, dissertations, newspapers and journals, scientific articles, sheet music, archival documents, maps, art materials, audio, and video materials.
Furthermore, the library's materials are available in 70 languages. Full-text documents can be accessed without registration or authorization, and the portal itself is adapted for people with visual impairments.
At the same time, KazNEB is becoming increasingly popular beyond Kazakhstan's borders. Today, the portal is used by readers from 125 countries, while in 2025, its audience covered 110 countries. Over the past year, it has expanded to 15 more countries.
Besides Kazakhstan, the resource's most active users are residents of China, Singapore, the United States, Russia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Brazil, and Germany.
