Aktobe Regional Drama Theatre named after T. Akhtanov is touring in Astana for the first time. From October 9 to 11, the artists will present their program on the stage of the Kazakh National Musical Drama Theater named after K. Kuanyshbaev.
The tour is a significant cultural event aimed at expanding the horizons of regional culture and promoting the creative potential of the Akhtanov Theatre to a new level.
On October 9, the musical "Aliya" based on the play by Aliya Dauletbaeva was shown. The production, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the heroine Aliya Moldagulova, became the first musical in the history of the Akhtanov Theatre. The play, which reflected both the heroism and the tenderness of the soul of the legendary girl, embodies the struggle between courage and humanity, victory and the pain of loss. The main role is played by the talented young actress Azhar Zhardenbekkyzy, the director of the production is Yeslam Nurtazin.
Today, the artists will present Mukhtar Magauin's parable "The Death of the Greyhound". In this work, through the images of an old hunter and his dog, the philosophy of ancient traditions and the hunting culture of the Kazakh steppe is revealed. The work raises the theme of the loss of respect for national values and shows how the rapid rhythm of modernity affects human nature. The director is one of the best directors in the country - Meiram Khabibullin.
The tour will end on October 11 with the tragicomedy "Turandot". The production is based on the motives of Nizami's oriental tales and Carlo Gozzi's Italian commedia dell'arte. "Turandot" leads the viewer into a world where love and pride, mind and cunning are intertwined in a fascinating artistic duel. The director is Alibek Omirbekuly, a creative and widely known figure in international circles.
