Shanyrak Day is a special holiday that celebrates the value of family, unity, and love. In honor of this occasion, we spoke with the Aitkozhin family, winners of the "Mereili Otbasy" competition, who consider respect, mutual understanding, and support to be the most important values ​​in their lives.
– Ainash Bolatbekovna, tell us about your family.
– We are the Aitkozhin family. We won the "Mereili Otbasy" competition. My husband, Sairan Aitkozhin, is a traveler, writer, and public figure, and was awarded the "Kamkor Ake" medal. He also loves sports.
My name is Ainash. I am the mother of eight children and the recipient of the "Silver" and "Gold" medals of maternal glory. I actively participate in various marathons.
Our eldest son, Aksultan, is currently studying for a master's degree in IT at Nazarbayev University. He has been passionate about poetry since childhood, and even published a book at an early age. He regularly participates in competitions and sports marathons.
Our daughter, Anelya, will complete her studies at Narikbayev University this summer. Malika, our middle daughter, is a second-year student at the Eurasian National University studying philology. Another daughter, Kenzhe, is in the 11th grade and preparing to enter higher education.
Our son, Salahaddin, is 15 years old. He is an active participant in the teenage military-patriotic movement "Zhas Sarbaz" and holds a membership card. Nuriddin, our next son, is 11 years old, and our youngest, Saifuldin, is 8 years old. Nuriddin and Salahaddin attend judo and have already won numerous awards.
The city administration regularly hosts marathons and sports events. We participate as a family—my children, my husband, and I. Sometimes we run marathons, sometimes we ride bikes, and overall, we actively maintain a healthy lifestyle as a family.
– What inspired you to participate in the "Mereili Otbasy" competition?
– We first heard about the competition in 2017 through school. Later, in 2024, we came across an article, "Best of All," published in the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper in its May 22–29 issue. At that moment, my husband bought the newspaper at a newsstand and showed it to us.
Speaking of the "Mereili Otbasy" competition, it is a wonderful and meaningful event. We are sincerely grateful to the committee members and organizers for such a useful initiative. The "Mereili Otbasy" competition introduces exemplary families to the public and widely promotes the importance of family values. Furthermore, it demonstrates a shining example of friendship, unity, mutual respect, and understanding. I believe this competition helps us understand the role of parents in raising children and gain a deeper appreciation for the value of family happiness and mutual respect.
– What are the core values ​​in your family?
– The core values ​​of our family are mutual respect, unity, hard work, caring for each other, and constant support. We believe this is the secret to family well-being and harmony. In our family, everyone respects the opinions of others, listens attentively to loved ones, and builds relationships based on mutual respect. We strive to openly discuss any issues and freely express our thoughts.

Furthermore, we spend time together, observe family traditions, and pass them on from generation to generation. This mutual support and understanding strengthens our family unity and makes it even more harmonious.
– What significance does Shanyrak Day have for your family as part of Nauryznam?
– Shanyrak Day is a special holiday that honors the value of family and promotes unity and love. In my opinion, this day reminds us of the importance of being together with loved ones, showing respect for one another, preserving ancestral traditions, and supporting family members. We believe this holiday strengthens family harmony and brings warmth and care to everyone's hearts.
